During the next 4days, participants will learn the purpose of concrete slabs on grade, applications and drawbacks. They will learn about concrete mix design, admixtures, proper tools and equipment, forming and placing a concrete slab, reinforcement, forming steps, finishing techniques, proper concrete curing and control joint cutting.
At the end of the session we will have placed one or multiple 10’x10’ concrete slabs with basic finishes.

Participants are required to bring: personal protective equipment, including: work boots for concrete work, gloves including latex, eye and hearing protection, hard hat, particulate mask appropriate for concrete
Tools required to bring:
(1) 16x3 magnesium hand float
(1) 18x3 magnesium hand float
(2) knee boards
(1) 2”x4” steel edger
