OL039: Landscape Designer’s Studio-Principles
Sold Out!
Is Design subjective? Although, most of us have a preference to a Garden style or an Architectural Period, most would agree that good design appeals to everyone.
This Design Studio will dive into the principles of landscape design through lectures and practical exercises. Assignments focus on the process of creating designs for residential sites. Some of the topics covered in this session include: measuring a site, creating site analysis, making functional diagrams, sketching concept plans, drafting preliminary plans, creating master plans, applying design principles.
This three-part session is perfect for new Landscape and Garden Designers that would like some formal training in design. It will also give confidence to those in the industry that have not been formally trained.
Note: Residential Landscape Projects will be created from inception to Master Plans over the duration of the course. Participants are expected to complete assignments after each session to be submitted and assessed with constructive notes and feedback. Participants are expected to have a working knowledge of a CAD program (ex. Dynascape/AutoCadd) or have drafting skills prior to taking these sessions.
