LD024: Sketchup: An Introduction
This two-day seminar introduces new and inexperienced users to the basic and core functionality of SketchUp as applied to the activities of a landscape designer. The focus will be on learning the functions of the standard tools and then applying these functions in designing and communicating landscape design in three dimensions. Upon completion, you will be able to design simple landscape projects in three dimensions and present them as images. Instructor Mansoor Ma (OALA; Associate Principal of LANDinc) will also showcase a number of projects and the procedures in using SketchUp as an essential tool for landscape design and presentation to their clients.

Note: Seminar will be taught through Windows O/S (but participants using Mac O/S can follow along, but not supported)

Participants need to bring:
(1) A laptop with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or Safari (for Mac laptops) installed
(2) Subscribe and install SketchUp Pro prior to attending the seminar.
Note: A FREE trial is available for 30 days, so please download the free trial a few days prior to the seminar if you want to try out Sketchup PRO prior to the yearly subscription. Please go to Sketchup web site sketchup.com/plans-and-pricing/sketchup-pro for detailed information about the software
(3) A mouse with a scroll wheel is recommended to make modeling and navigating much easier
(4) Charger for the laptop for sustaining the battery life for long hours of use
(5) Notepad to write your own notes
